Our mission is to impact the Northeast, the United States, and the world by training students to have The Mind of a Scholar, The Heart of a Shepherd, and The Perseverance of a Soldier through the provision of a college education with a biblical foundation and a distinctive blend of academic excellence and practical mentoring.
Northeastern Baptist College is a four year Baptist college in beautiful Bennington, Vermont offering Associate and Bachelor’s degrees, along with a Ministry Diploma and a dual-enrollment program for high school students called the Early Scholars Program. Founded in 2013, the college is expanding quickly and has a unique story and purpose.
Almost a decade ago, our President, Dr. Mark H. Ballard, began to pursue the idea of a college in the Northeast that would train Christian students to reach this spiritually dry area. Trusting that God would provide, he and his family chose to follow God’s leading and step out in faith. With God’s providence through each step of the way, Northeastern Baptist College is now training students from all over the United States, and held its first commencement exercises in Spring 2016.
Northeastern Baptist College is the first 4-year, evangelical Christian College ever established in the state of Vermont for the prime purpose of bringing the gospel to New England.
Excellence
Historically, New England has been known as the hub of academic thought and development, and still prides itself today in academic excellence. Only opened in 2013, Northeastern Baptist College has already developed a rigorous, well-respected academic program with a successful reputation. A college education at NEBC follows New England’s grand tradition in academia while elevating it with a commitment to teaching within a Christian worldview, accompanied by a high level of practicality.

NEBC’s qualified faculty focus on developing God’s calling in the lives of their students, and the coursework at NEBC offers unique potential and academic challenge.
